Over/Under Results
There was congestion at the top of the 25-player field, with four players having seven correct answers and three tied for first place with eight correct answers.
Anthony Conforti, David Bergstrom, and Rick Mosher were the players tied at the top. All three took Texas against the -5.5 spread and were wrong. Rick went over on 53.5 total points scored and was eliminated as Anthony and David correctly went under. In the final score prediction, both players had Texas winning by four points, and since there is no rule to break the tie from there, in a first for Over/Under, there is a tie for first, and Anthony and David will split the record $95 jackpot.
Mark Stephan, Mitch Lewis, Reed Ramlow, and Mitchell Frink tied for fourth with seven correct.
Game Notes
The average score was 5.7.
Just one player incorrectly went under .5 rushing attempts in Texas’ first seven offensive plays.
Only two players incorrectly went under 2.5 sacks for the OSU defense.
20 of the 25 players incorrectly went over 12.5 points scored in the first quarter.
20 of the 25 players correctly went over on Texas scoring 5.5 points in the third quarter.
All season, Willie Earl was looking for a question that would achieve a 50/50 split of the field’s answers but never got closer than 57/43.
I enjoyed another season of the Willie Earl commentary and over/under game. A privilege to watch the last game with WE at the Cotton Bowl. We were oh so close to shutting up those annoying “Ohio against the World” fans.
