Houston Over/Under Results

In a crowded 25 player field David Bergstrom and Dan Adam tied for first place with 9 correct answers forcing the match to the tiebreakers. David and Dan both went 1-1 in the pick ‘em portion of the tiebreaker with Ohio State a winner and Tennessee a loser which took us to the Texas – Houston final score prediction. Both players picked Texas to win by 14 points. David had it 45-31 and Dan 35-21. When two players are tied through pick ‘em and score prediction differential the contest moves to the rarely used determining factor of closest to the total points scored. With Texas beating Houston 31-24 the total points was 55.  Dan’s total points scored was 56 while David’s was 76. So, if you’re really smart you know without me telling you that Dan—a multiple winner over his career—emerged victorious and earned his first win of 2023. Dan takes home $70 for his effort.

It’s a heartbreaker for David who has been showing up on the leaderboard for the first time this year but has yet to win in his third season. Keep battling Bergy.

Mark Adams was alone in third place with 8 correct. There was an eight-way tie for fourth place with 7 correct that included Kelly Malek, Reed Ramlow, Eric Vogle, Lesley Bohmann, Dolly Frink, Michael Frank, Wes Peoples, and Kevin Hill.

Only three players had Houston totaling more than 344.5 yards. Question #5, 6.5 penalties on the Horns was oh so close with the Horns getting penalized 6 times. Over/Under on 2.5 pass receptions for Gunnar Helm was equally as close with Gunnar hauling in 2 passes.

The average score was 6.0.
