It was another tough week for most players with an average score of 5.1 correct answers which makes it all the more impressive that rookie John “Spaffy” Spafford got his first career win with 8 correct answers. Spafford outlasted Mark Adams, Mike Frank, and Clayton Frink who tied for second with 7 correct answers. Kevin Hill, David Bergstrom, Mitchell Frink and Andy Garrod tied for fifth place with six correct.

Proud members of Sigma Phi Epsilon dominated this week taking first place and were two of the players involved a three-way tie for second place. Sig Eps brothers were also two of the four players tied for fifth place. GO MY FELLOW SPE BROTHERS! Clayton Frink, Kevin Hill, and Mitchell Frink crashed the Sig Ep party. I guess they slipped through security.

“Spaffy” will shoot up to third place in the second half standings with his winning performance trailing Kevin Hill who is in second place by .3 points. Adams pads his lead in the overall standings and maintains first place in the Second Half competition. Helen Frink won the First Half of the season.

Only three of 21 players including Spafford predicted that TCU would lead at some point during the game. Only 5 players said Malik Murphy would not play. Perhaps the most interesting outcome was that only 6 of 21 guessed that the total points scored would be an even number.

Spafford takes home $55 for the win.
